Thank You!
for supporting our local shelter for women and children. The Bethesda House collection campaign was very successful due to the generosity of our wonderful families. In the past few weeks our staff members have received many beautiful cards, warm wishes, treats and lovely gifts. We are touched by your kindness!

Winter Footwear...
Parents, caregivers and children should remove wet footwear downstairs. A wet stairway is not safe for anyone…not to mention that unpleasant wet-sock feeling for children and parents who have taken off their boots and have then stepped in a puddle! Please allow a few minutes in your schedule to take off your boots and use the stairs carefully. We appreciate your cooperation. If you have concerns, please contact Holly and we will do our best to help resolve any problems

FYI...
There are Special Needs Resourcing (SNR) agencies available to support licensed child care programs in Durham. These agencies are funded through the Regional Municipality of Durham and Ministry of Education to assist in providing inclusive environments for children and families. The school has the opportunity to work in partnership with local agencies, using the “No Wrong Door” binder provided by the Region, as a guide. Contact Holly if you would like more information.

The school will continue to share relevant information regarding which doors are best to enter/exit on days when there is snow on the roof. We will support all families who may be experiencing difficulty getting in the building. The church is working towards resolving the problem.

Our Inclement Weather Policy is available for review in the Parent Handbook. Should there be need to cancel nursery school due to poor weather conditions, you will receive notification by phone or email. Our outgoing telephone voicemail will reflect any cancellation. Please note that rebates are not given for unplanned school closures.

The new year is filled with potential for fun and learning! We will settle into our routines again with the rush and activity of Christmas now past. Your beautiful children are growing and changing. They certainly have come a long way since September.
